Having finished the race with just one sprinter apiece we made no impact on the general classification. For the record, Erik Zabel (SNO) finished 73rd overall with Lisa's Alessandro Petacchi even further back in 127th place.

We did better in the points competition, with Petacchi fourth and Zabel sixth.

Unsurprisingly, neither of our finishers scored a point in the King of the Mountains competition.
