Tour Down Under, overall

Robbie McEwan (RSR) was way back in 113th place, out of 122 finishers, over sixteen minutes down. So, when the traditional opening of the season takes place at Het Volk in March, the first ProTour race outside Europe will have made no difference at all.

Introduction to 2008 Season

This year's season kicks off over a month early due to the addition of the Tour Down Under to the UCI's ProTour calendar. The status of several of the most important races in the calendar has been the subject of much bickering between the UCI and the race organisers but, for Fantasy purposes, there has been little change apart from the addition of the Australian race and the slotting into the 2008 calendar of the Road Race and Time Trial at the Beijing Olympic Games.

The basis of the Fantasy competition remains as described last year and the next two posts will outline our team members for the coming season.
