Tour de France, stage 2

In today's team time trial stage, the trade team of Julian Alaphilippe (RSR) was third fastest.

Alaphilippe moves up to eleventh overall. For Steve, Rick Zabel, is sixteenth.

In the points competition, Peter Sagan (SNO) is still second and will wear the Green Jersey again tomorrow. Greg van Avermaet (RSR) is sixth on points with Caleb Ewan, also for Lisa, seventh.

No KOM points on offer today, so van Avermaet still tops the mountains classification and will wear the polka dots again tomorrow.

Tour de France, stage 1

Peter Sagan (SNO) was just pipped at the line in the opening sprint as Caleb Ewan (RSR) picked up third place on the stage.

These results, of course, also mean that Sagan and Ewan are second and third overall. Greg van Avermaet (RSR) lies eleventh.

Sagan is, likewise, second in the green jersey competition but, thanks to the effects of the intermediate sprint, van Avermaet is sixth while Ewan is only seventh on points. Although second in the classification, Sagan will wear the green jersey tomorrow.

Van Avermaet leads the mountains classification and will wear the polka-dot jersey tomorrow.
