Iban Mayo Diez (RSR) finished the Giro in 38th place overall. The best Steve could do was Steve Cummings' 110th place.
Alessando Petacchi (RSR) claimed the ciclamino jersey as the winner of the points competition and Lisa also had Paolo Bettini in third place in that classification whereas neither of Steve's finishers mustered a single point.
Iban Mayo Diez (RSR) was 27th in the mountains competion and, again, neither of Steve's finishers featured at all.
