Adam Yates (SNO) came agonisingly close to keeping the overall lead in the concluding tine trial but ended up second by barely one second. Julian Alaphilippe (RSR) finished the race in sixth place with Rui Costa, also for Lisa, tenth and Vincenzo Nibali, for Steve, fifteenth.
