Guillame Martin (RSR) finished fourth today with Vincenzo Nibali 51st for Steve. Arnaud Démare (SNO) finished outside the time limit and so is eliminated from the race.
Martin is up to ninth overall with Bauke Mollema down to 23rd for Steve.
Mark Cavendish (SNO) survived the stage to hold onto the Green Jersey as the leader on points with Julian Alaphilippe (RSR) up to fifth and Peter Sagan now eighth for Steve.
Martin is now sixth in the mountains competition but Simon Yates is down to 21st for Steve.
