Tour de France, stage 17

On the final mountain of this year's Tour, the fearsome Pyrenean Col du Tourmalet, Andy Schleck (SNO) took the stage win ahead of Alberto Contador for Lisa. With just tomorrow's sprint to Bordeaux, Saturday's time trial and the final procession into Paris to go, Contador's hold on the Yellow Jersey seems impregnable, barring disaster, even though he leads Schleck by just 8 seconds.

Thor Hushovd (SNO) still holds the Green Jersey but, with just four points between him and Lisa's Alessandro Petacchi in second, this battle will continue to the finish line on the Champs Elysées on Sunday.
