Tour de France, stage 12

The chaotic conclusion to the race part-way up Mount Ventoux left total confusion in its wake. At the time of writing it appears that appeals to the race jury have left Adam Yates (SNO) in second place overall while Dan Martin (RSR) slips back to ninth place and Joaquin Rodríguez (SNO) moves up to tenth and Richie Porte (RSR) to eleventh. Not clear yet if this will stand as counter-appeals fly.

The situation in the points competition seems more settled with Peter Sagan (SNO) still in green, Mark Cavendish (SNO) second and Marcel Kittel (RSR) third on points as André Greipel (SNO) moves up to sixth.

Rui Costa (RSR) fell back to sixth in the mountains competition.

Scores: RSR=0, SNO=0
LeTour: RSR=27, SNO=72
Totals: RSR=483, SNO=397
