Dan McLay (RSR) finished sixth with Fred Wright (SNO) eighth. Simon Yates (SNO) was unable to take the start today after testing positive for COVID-19 and Julian Alaphilippe (RSR) crashed out towards the end of the stage and was unable to continue.
The departure of Yates leaves Vincenzo Nibali (SNO) our highest placed rider overall in fiftieth place. McLay is currently 124th.
Wright is up to fourth on points with McLay down to ninth.
Wright is thirteenth in the mountains classification.
