Carlos Sastre (SNO) finished ninth on possibly the hardest stage of this year's Vuelta and held onto ninth place overall. For Lisa, Fabian Cancellara finished 51st on the stage.
Mark Cavendish (SNO) still leads the points competition with Philippe Gilbert, also for Steve, now seventh after today's stage.
