Alberto Contador (RSR) finished in seventh place on today's strade bianche stage and moved up to ninth place overall as racing resumed. For Steve, Carlos Sastre finished 31st.
In the points competition, Alessandro Petacchi still leads for Lisa with David Millar and Mark Cavendish (both SNO) sixth and seventh respectively.
