André Greipel (SNO) got third place on today's stage as Peter Sagan and Mark Cavendish, both also for Steve, eliminated each other.
Philippe Gilbert (SNO) inched up to sixth overall as Dan Martin (RSR) held on to fifteenth place.
Marcel Kittel (RSR) will spend a day out of green as he drops to second place in the points competition with Greipel up to fourth.
