Tour de France, stage 1

Fernando Gaviria (RSR) won the opening stage from Peter Sagan (SNO) and Marcel Kittel (SNO).

Gaviria thus takes the first yellow jersey of this year's tour with Sagan and Kittel second and third overall. Rafał Majka (RSR) lies eleventh with Vincenzo Nibble (SNO) twelfth.

Gaviria, Sagan and Kittel head the points classification.
