Tour de France, stage 8

Peter Sagan (SNO) finished second on today's stage. Marcel Kittel (RSR) was fifteenth.

Greg van Avermaet (RSR) still leads the race overall. Philippe Gilbert (SNO) moves up to to fourth and Rafał Majka (RSR) to eighth. Adam Yates is still thirteenth for Steve with Vincenzo Nibali and Bauke Mollema, both also SNO, now up to fifteenth and seventeenth as Julian Alaphilippe (RSR) tumbles down the classification to eighteenth.

Sagan extended his lead over Fernando Gaviria (RSR) in the points competition but André Greipel, for Steve, drops down to sixth.

Dan Martin (RSR) is still fifth on the mountains classification.
