Mark Cavendish (SNO) won the mass sprint at the end of today's stage, with Philippe Gilbert (also for Steve) second. Samuel Sanchez (RSR) finished in 25th place.
Thor Hushovd (SNO) still leads overall with David Millar fourth and Andy Schleck tenth (both for Steve). Gilbert is seventeenth.
After intervention by the race commissars, Gilbert now leads the points competition with Cavendish fourth and Hushovd fifth. Gilbert is second in the mountains classification, with Alberto Contador sixth for Lisa.
