To the surprise of some, Julian Alaphilipe (RSR) ran out winner of the individual time trial stage today. Bauke Mollema (SNO) was thirteenth fastest on the day.
And so, Alaphilippe extends his lead at the top of the general classification as Adam Yates (SNO) drops to tenth with Dan Martin (RSR) also down, to eleventh. Mollema improves to sixteenth overall.
Although taking is easy today, Peter Sagan (SNO) still hold the green jersey with Caleb Ewan (RSR) fifth on points and Greg van Avermaet, also for Lisa, eighth.
Alaphilippe is still 22nd in the mountains competition.
