Julian Alaphilippe (RSR) excelled himself to take second place at the finish atop the Tourmalet today. Bauke Mollema (SNO) was eighteenth on the stage.
Alaphilippe further extends his lead overall and Mollema is now fifteenth as Dan Martin (RSR) drops to sixteenth and Adam Yates (SNO) is down to eighteenth place.
Peter Sagan (SNO) continues on the lead on points with Caleb Ewan (RSR) fifth and Alaphilippe now eighth.
Alaphilippe's mountain-top win jumps him up to fourth place in the mountains competition.
