Arnaud Démare (SNO) took the sprint finish win today with Mark Cavendish, also for Steve, third and Fernando Gaviria (RSR) fourth.

Overall, following a DNF for the rider that was fourth, Guillaume Martin (RSR) moves up to fifth, Vincenzo Nibali (SNO) to thirteenth and Bauke Mollema, also for Steve, to seventeenth.

Démare further consolidates his grip on the Ciclamino Jersey as the leader on points as Cavendish and Gaviria swap places to end up back in second and third places respectively.

Mollema remains fifth in the mountains classification.
