Guillaume Martin (RSR) finished ninth on the stage. Best finisher for Steve was Vincenzo Nibali, 36th.

Martin leapt up to fourth on GC pushing Simon Yates (SNO) down a pace to fifth. 

Arnaud Démare (SNO) still leads the points competition with Mark Cavendish, also for Steve, third and Fernando Gaviria (RSR) fifth.

Bauke Mollema (SNO) remains fifth on the mountains classification.
