Marcel Kittel (RSR) won the first stage and takes the yellow jersey. Peter Sagan (SNO) was second in the sprint. They thus take the top two positions in the overall standings with Fabian Cancellara (RSR) twelfth and André Greipel (SNO) eighteenth.
Kittel & Sagan also fill the first two places on the points competition.
